Vince McMahon talks about potentially selling WWE

During a conference call to discuss WWE’s third quarter 2016 earnings, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon was asked about the recent AT&T and Time Warner merger proposal and the recent sale of the UFC and if he ever considered selling WWE to get the most value for his shareholders. According to a report by, McMahon said they would always consider anything, but that there is something to be said about controlling your own destiny. He added, “We are open for business.”

Dolph Ziggler on never wanting to leave WWE

Sky Sports is featuring an interview with WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and why he never wanted to leave the company, but had started to make preparations outside of the company had he decided to not sign a contract renewal.

“I’d been in talks with an agent for about a year and told him to have a couple of things ready after the date after the No Mercy pay-per-view just so I had my bases covered. But while I was prepared to go, I sure as hell never wanted to go.  WWE is a business but Vince McMahon is a human being and if I went to him and said I need to leave because I can’t go higher on the card, I believe he would understand and let me go. I could go and do other things, too – I am fortunate that I have a stand-up career, while I have also gone on Fox News to talk politics, something I study, write about and have lots of ideas about. But I am still prepared to be the best WWE Superstar I can be and I want to keep doing this.”

  1. After those bastards block some of my gameplays of WWE 2K17 (and 2K16) I couldn’t care less if they sold their company or not much less went out of business.

  2. Psh, yeah right. Vince will be there until the night watchman at Titan Tower finds him face down dead on his desk. They’ll literally have to pry WWE out of Vince’s cold dead hands.

  3. Not strange to understand that sentiment of Vince really, but then again one would actually need to built a business themselves to fully understand that instead of spending way to many hours posting on wrestling boards.

  4. They blocked some of my videos on YouTube (like the WWE 2K16 Showcase Part 2,WWE 2K17 My Career Mode Part 3 and Universe Mode Part 1). I put a lot of effort into my videos for my subscribers and been one of WWE’s biggest supporters despite the fact that I’m a wrestling fan (not just WWE but other wrestling companies) and that was the thanks I get?! So whether or not WWE continues on or not for me it’s a win/win:if they continue on good for them if not good riddance!

  5. So essentially you were taping your own video game wrestling matches and pretending they were PPV’s?

MAYBE they were trying to do you a favor.

  6. All I did was do what any other YouTuber would do and that’s gameplay walkthroughs of Showcase Mode (for WWE 2K16),and My Career Mode and Universe Mode (for 2K17).
