Ric Flair’s Wife, Wendy Barlow posted on Instagram Friday that her husband’s surgery has been postponed until Monday.
Barlow noted the reason for the delay is to address some complications that needed to be taken care of first before the surgery could be performed.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Flair’s hospitalization is due to a heart condition he has been battling for years.
Soon after the news broke Thursday that the 70-year-old WWE Hall of Famer was rushed to the hospital with a medical emergency that was described as “very serious”, Flair’s son-in-law Conrad Thompson refuted the seriousness of the situation on a media call stating that Flair was in the hospital for a scheduled surgery that was neither grave nor very serious, and that Flair elected to undergo surgery before heading out to Las Vegas for Starrcast II where he will take part in “The Roast of Ric Flair.”
Later that same day, Flair’s wife, Wendy Barlow issued a statement that she expected her husband to fully recover.
In August 2017 Flair was placed in a medically induced coma for a heart issue described as near death.
