Impact TV tapings

Schedule for next Impact TV tapings

Impact Wrestling is scheduled for an Orlando return for Impact TV tapings in January according to a new report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter this week.

The company is slated to run tapings at Universal Studios from January 10 through January 15, 2018. This will film take them through March until the next scheduled tapings.

Plans are still in place to run more tapings in Canada, although a return to Ottawa isn’t likely after they drew poor crowds in the days following the Bound for Glory PPV. As reported earlier, the Nashville offices with staff were closed down recently and everything will be migrating to the Anthem offices located in Toronto. This same report indicated Anthem is doing “everything they can to trim the budget” right now and avoid losing money.

Knockouts Tournament begins

The tournament to crown a new Knockouts Champion will begin tonight on Pop TV.

Gail Kim, who captured the Knockouts Championship at the Bound for Glory PPV a few weeks ago, vacated the title and announced her retirement from the company.

  1. I couldn’t imagine they have shows that do worse than Impact, but I suppose they would have to if they are renewed

  2. I did a quick search and if I’m reading the overview correctly, they average 179,000 per show across their network so Impact would normally be above their average.

  3. It confuses me why Anthem went to the effort of buying Impact just to tear it apart with cost cutting measures. Taping two months of TV in a week is less than most indy promotions.
