GFW Impact Ratings

The GFW Impact ratings for August 31, 2017 are in.

Last night’s episode on Pop TV drew 268,000 viewers overall on Thursday night according to a report by

This is down from last week’s show that drew 296,000. Impact did not rank among the Top 150 shows on cable on Thursday night, which is never a good sign for the company.

GFW Impact Ratings

Impact, headlined GFW Global Champion Eli Drake and Chris Adonis vs. Johnny Impact and Eddie Edwards, averaged a 0.05 rating among adults 18-49, down from a 0.06.

  1. They so need to get off of Pop TV. They’ve done a great job adding to the roster. (Except Kongo Kong). I still feel taping so many shows in advance hurts badly.

  2. I watch weather center more than anything tied to JJ and the pole dancer. If they would just move all the taping to a ball park they could make the top 140….and save even more money!

  3. I’m asking this because I’m a UK poster who is ignorant about US TV networks, but is POP in many homes over there? The reason I ask is that impact got far better ratings on Spike when a lot of the shows were worse than the current GFW programming. Don’t get me wrong, there are still parts of the show I dislike, but in the main, young, hungry talent is getting pushed and regardless of what is going on behind the scenes, product is a lot more watchable. Maybe not 1.5M viewers watchable, but more than the current figures suggest.

  4. Hey Chris, there have been some recent posts with the actual numbers…I think 250 mil total homes. Agree with your thoughts..their issues appear to be top down troubles…one of the common denominators with the issues is JJ…I never cared for him anyway, so I am biased, but he has demonstrated a knack for using others money and always having a fall person to blame for his style of programming not working.

  5. Thanks for the help buddy! I was never keen on JJ once he got into the backstage side of things. Solid mid carder pushed past the moon imo. I get your comments on him having a fall guy too. To me, Nordholm may come to regret doing business with him.

  6. I hadn’t watched Impact since 2014, but now that it’s Global Force, I thought I’d give it a try with Desination X. It was live, and it was pretty decent especially with the return of Jim Cornette, but the following week was awlful, and unlike the 80’s and 90’s there’s so much choice for wrestling fans now to where we can be choosy, so with WWE providing so much new content each week, I don’t see the need to watch Global. Good for those that keep watching and support it, but it’s just not up to par with what WWE offers.
